 Description
The tour starts at the impressive Colonial Cathedral in Cusco that contains over 400 paintings from the Cusqueña School, several altars. After that we go to visit the Temple of the Sun, main religious center of the Incas dedicated to the Sun Cult. According to the chroniclers, the walls of this temple were entirely covered with gold.
From here we go by bus the visit the four ruins at less than 8 km from Cusco, including Sacsayhuamán, famous for its enormous carved rocks and Q´enqo y Tambomachay.

Itinerary

This is a daily tour, since 1:30 pm. until 6:30pm.

The tour is the next:

The Cathedral: It was built over the Inca palace of Suntur Wasi, its construction took almost one century (94 years) artist from Cusco and Europe worked in its design. The most important places are the chapel of Virgin of the Remedies and Inmaculada Concepción and others. "El Señor de los Temblores", Saint of this city, keeps this name since 1 650 of March 31, date where was taken out of the Cathedral to calm the earthquake.

Qorikancha:
its situate in the heart of Cusco. Its construction took place when Pachakutec governed and it was one of the most important temples built by the Incas. That was the house of the bishop who tough the worship of the Sun, where the chosen women were sacrifices to the main God. The Sun according to the Inca cosmology, el Qorikancha, was situate in the middle of the world.

Saqsayhuaman:
It is located 2 Km to the north of Cusco. In Inca Time, the city of Cusco has the shape of Puma and its head was the Sacsayhuaman site. However this was destroyed by the Spanish, but still in this days we can see fabulous cyclopean walls, Where some of them of 5 meters and more than 350 tons, they were conduced with the help of a thousand of workers leaded by Pachakutec.

Qenqo:
It's situate 3 Km from Cusco. The word Qenqo means maze, it was a worship place where we can observe a huge rock which has several cuttings, one of the most important was the zigzag, issue of the name, by there passed chicha or blood. Those stones represented a cougar and it wake up with winter solstice, underneath the rock there are subterranean corridors.

Pukapukara:
Following the schedule this site is located at 7 Km of Cusco, Pukapukara means "Red Fortress" this site was an administrative and military center, where we can find some aqueducts, short terraces, passages, turrets, and niches.


Tambomachay: 8 Km from the city of Cusco. Well known as the Inca's bath, this Inca site was considering a place of the cult to the water
