Trujillo is known as "the city of the eternal spring". Chiclayo, "The Friendship City", because of the kindness of its people and warn weather, is the starting point for visits to two of the American Continent most important archaeological discoveries, the Tomb of the Lord of Sipan, unhearthed in the 1980's, and the Archaeological Complex of Tucume.
