Day 1: Lima the starting point
You land in Lima you’re in the capital city it’s busy it’s loud there’s a lot going on. You get to your hotel check in drop your bags and head out. You’re walking around the historic center Plaza Mayor’s got this old world feel the Cathedral’s huge and the Government Palace is impressive. You wander through the streets seeing all these old buildings and balconies each one’s got a story. Night time rolls around and you’re eating Peruvian food it’s a mix of flavors your taste buds are gonna love it.
Day 2: Huaraz mountain adventure
Today you’re heading to Huaraz it’s a mountain town the air’s crisp the views are amazing. You get to your hotel and then you’re out exploring. You’re checking out the town getting a feel for the place you’re getting ready for the mountains. You might try some local food.
Day 3: Chavin de Huantar ancient mystery
Chavin de Huantar today it’s an ancient archaeological site. You’re walking around seeing these old ruins trying to imagine what it was like back then. The stonework is incredible the carvings are detailed it’s a real trip. You learn about the Chavin culture their beliefs their way of life.
Day 4: Trujillo coastal city vibes
You’re heading to Trujillo a city on the coast. You get to your hotel and then you’re out exploring. You’re checking out the historic center seeing the colonial architecture. You might visit some museums learn about the history of the area. The beaches are nice too you might take a walk along the shore.
Day 5: Chan Chan adobe city
Chan Chan today it’s an ancient city made of adobe. You’re walking around seeing these huge walls and structures. It’s amazing how they built it all out of mud brick. You learn about the Chimu culture their empire their downfall. It’s a fascinating place.
Day 6: Lima back to the capital
You’re heading back to Lima today. You get to your hotel and then you’ve got some free time. You might do some shopping visit some museums or just relax. You can revisit some places from your first day.
Day 7: Cusco the Inca capital
Fly to Cusco you’re in the heart of the Inca Empire. You get to your hotel and then you’re out exploring. You’re walking around the Plaza de Armas seeing the Cathedral the Coricancha. The city’s got this mix of Inca and colonial architecture. It’s a cool vibe.
Day 8: Sacred Valley Inca sights
Sacred Valley day. You’re visiting Pisac with its market and ruins. Ollantaytambo is next a massive fortress. Then you’re on to Chinchero textiles and a church. The scenery is amazing the history is rich.
Day 9: Machu Picchu the lost city
Machu Picchu day. You’re taking a train to Aguas Calientes and then a bus up to the ruins. You’re walking around seeing the terraces temples palaces. It’s incredible how they built it all up there. You’re taking pictures soaking it all in.
Day 10: Cusco exploring the city
You have a free day in Cusco. You can visit museums go shopping or just wander around. You might try some local food. You can visit places you missed on day 7.
Day 11: Cusco more of the city
Another day in Cusco. You can go to places you’ve missed or go back to your favorite spots. You can try some more peruvian food. You can relax.
Day 12: Lima heading home
You’re flying back to Lima today and then you’re heading home. You’ve got a lot of memories from your trip.
