Upon arrival, enjoy a drive through the fertile countryside to the colonial village of Pisac and explore the bustling Indian Market (available on Tue, Thu, Sun) where you can bargain for Peruvian handicrafts and jewelry. After lunch, continue to Ollantaytambo, an ancient fortress with towering temples and terraces over the valley. (B, L)
Depart in the morning from Poroy Station in Cusco. Brunch is served on board as guides share insights into points of interest en route and at Machu Picchu upon arrival. Explore this significant archaeological site set in remote mountains amid a semi-tropical jungle.
